Two fantastic positions now available for Adult Psychiatrists to join a welcoming rural community setting with terrific lifestyle opportunities! Join a collaborative mental health team of social workers, therapists and outreach nurses as well as community general practitioners committed to developing innovative approaches to meet needs for psychiatric services across the lifespan. Full time or part time positions available.

Our primary shared goals include meeting community needs using innovative integrated care models, and collaborating with family practitioners to develop and implement a patient medical home model, consistent and aligned with the IHA Mental Health and Substance Use Program and with Ministry and Government priorities. The successful candidate, in collaboration with local family practitioners, will provide urgent consultative support to the Kootenay Lake Hospital medical/surgical units and emergency department. For interested candidates, there may also be an opportunity to participate in providing regional call services to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail.
