Practice Details:

As a GP you work with members of the care team at the new Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). The UPCC team will consist of general practitioners (GPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager.

Focusing on members of the general population with non-life threatening illnesses or injuries who need access to same-day care, including those who are unattached, both those that are on the Patient Attachment List (PAL) actively awaiting attachment in the South Okanagan and those not yet on the PAL. As well as attached patients, that require urgent afterhours care.

Urgent care services will be available to the public: Monday to Friday - 17:00 to 20:00, Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays – 12:00 to 18:00

Qualifications:
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Certificant of College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Eligible for licensure with CPSBC; Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
