There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas with a total population of 62,000 for the Cariboo Regional District. A vast array of lakes, rivers and hiking and biking trails, makes Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter months bring the enjoyment of snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing for the winter months. If you are interested or have any questions, we would like to offer you a virtual meet and greet with the clinic and the Division. This takes approximately 30 minutes, we can discuss incentives for our community, structuring of your patient panel, and what other specialities you may be interested in. Uniquely, Williams Lake is able to offer you a fully tailored medical practice: for example, 3 days in clinic for primary care, 1 day remote First Nations communities, 1 day in a the addictions clinic.

Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Certificant of College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is Mandatory
Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Full time
On call requirements: Preference dependent; generally 1 on, 4 off

$300,000 Gross estimate but please enquire (many variables)


RSA Incentives

Rural Incentives include:
Recruitment bonus: $15,000
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
Fee Premium: 12.32%
Annual Retention: enter $19,092.48
Rural CME: max of $4,840.00 /year after 4 years in practice

Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
