Practice Details:

We have capacity to welcome at least two Family Practitioners to our well established Exeter clinic in 100 Mile House as two of our colleagues retire! Our opportunity will suit family practitioners who are enthusiastic about rural practice and who are committed to a rural lifestyle. Here you can work the full spectrum of Family Practice or you can develop a more specific practice with an emphasis on any number of particular interests, such as residential care, MH, pediatric, prenatal, or even GP oncology if you are willing to do the additional training. We require only that you also be willing to provide 4-6 ER shifts per month in our 24/7 ER. Our clinic has capacity to grow with our experienced office staff and with existing space for up to 10 office/examination rooms in our main clinic and 2 in our off site walk-in clinic. We are also proud to be one of the few communities to be granted the status of "proof of concept" as we move forward with Patient Medical Home Network development.

Teaching opportunities are a rewarding option for those with interest. Our residents enjoy the variety of experiences they have here, and they enjoy the benefit that is gained from working with GPs who have enhanced training in various sub specialty interests. Nearby Williams Lake provides additional support in key basic specialties of Ob/Gyn, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and General Surgery. Within our clinic we have regular dietician consults and visiting pediatrician clinics, and we are working to hire a Nurse Practitioner.

Our team is collegial and is a mix of young, experienced and senior physicians so that we can ensure you receive a strong orientation to the practice and the community. You have only to talk to any of our younger physicians or colleagues to learn how rewarding a practice can be in 100 Mile House, and to learn how wonderful this area can be to raise a family!
