If you are interested or have any questions, we would like to offer you a virtual meet and greet with the clinic and the Division. This takes approximately 30 minutes, we can discuss incentives for our community, structuring of your patient panel, and what other specialities you may be interested in. Uniquely, Williams Lake is able to offer you a fully tailored medical practice: for example, 3 days in clinic for primary care, 1 day remote First Nations communities, 1 day in a the addictions clinic.

RSA Incentives
Rural incentives, at current posted rates, include:
Recruitment incentive: $15,000
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
Retention fee premium: 12.32%
Retention flat fee: $18,696.48
Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) fund: up to $4,840.per year by the 4th year in practice.
Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
The Yorston Clinic:
The Yorston Clinic is a private clinic in downtown Williams Lake and is a 5 minute drive to the hospital. Clinic hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Working hours are flexible within these times. Billing is done in-house. EMR is Profile by Intrahealth. No evening or weekend hours required at the clinic. Cariboo Memorial Hospital is an Acute Care, 31-bed Hospital offering Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Operating Rooms, Medical-Surgical and Obstetrical Units, Ambulatory Care Department, and stress testing. Other services include Lab and Diagnostic Imaging (including echo and CT scanning), Out-Patient Hemodialysis Unit, and a five-bed psychiatric crisis stabilization unit. Visiting specialty service in Rheumatology and Ophthalmology specialists.
