We are looking for a psychiatrist interested in leadership to act as Medical Director for Tertiary Mental Health.



In this role, you will join a group of engaged and supportive medical leaders and colleagues to lead quality and strategic planning for the tertiary mental health services within IHA. This leadership includes active participation in IHA-wide leadership for tertiary mental health services to address all aspects of quality, patient safety, planning, operations, utilization management and evaluations of medical and physician services engaged in providing care in tertiary facilities.



To enhance a patient-focused approach to the provision of MHSU Services, you will work collaboratively with Regional Medical Directors, Clinical Operations Leadership, and the MHSU Network to build a multidisciplinary team to address all quality and safety issues.



Prior leadership experience is desirable but optional. Interior Health supports leadership development initiatives to enable you to succeed.

Qualifications:
  • Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Eligible for licensure with CPSBC; Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
