Practice Details:

Hillside Center – Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) – Adult Psychiatrist- part time and/or full time

Hillside Psychiatric Centre is a 47 bed Acute Tertiary facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) campus.

The Hillside is a regional psychiatric center placed in the heart of Interior Health that services both adults and older patients with acute illness and/or behaviours that need very special care.

Core skills and competencies:
• Exceptional assessment and diagnostic skills
• A general understanding of rural and remote community care systems
• Advocacy experience
• Experience with a broad range of complex psychiatric illness with a particular focus on severe and persistent mental illness,
• Knowledge in substance use disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions
• General Psychiatry skills required for call responsibilities at RIH
