Practice Details:

Our current OB-GYN team is looking for a full-time OB-GYN to start in July 2023 to replace a long-time OB-GYN retiring after a long career at Cariboo Memorial Hospital. Come for a visit or a locum and check us out!

We are three established OB-GYN in a modern office within the 28-bed hospital. We use Accuro EMR. We serve a catchment area of ~55,000. We share 1-in-3 call, and we have ample OR time and can provide our patients with timely surgery. We do consulting obstetrics only, therefore call is usually not onerous: you take call from home and will sleep most nights, thanks to our excellent Family Physicians and ER Doctors.

Physician services in Williams Lake include Pediatrics, Radiology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Emergency Physicians, Anaesthesia, and a knowledgeable and experienced group of full-service Family Doctors. We have visiting specialists including ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology and Orthopedics – we are rural but not isolated.

There are opportunities to teach and engage with learners of varying disciplines.

Williams Lake is located in the southern third of the province, which means the summers are hot, and the winters are snowy but not frigid. We are one of the sunniest places in the province. Mountain biking, skiing and water sports are just some of the many recreation opportunities available.

We have stunning scenery, reasonable housing prices, and low office costs. Rural incentives and Level 1 MOCAP-funded call are bonuses.
