The family medicine clinic in Oliver is a great opportunity for a comprehensive rural care. This is truly full scope rural medicine and residents quite enjoy this challenge and opportunity. There are opportunities for emergency medicine, managing acute hospital patients, long term care and even obstetrics if you like. Dr. Evans is the main obstetrics provider in the south Okanagan and if you would like to have this opportunity it is available in this clinic. Dr. Dixon has won the resident teaching award and has a history of teaching medical students as well for the last 5 years. They have created a friendly easy going environment with a focus on resident autonomy and preparation for practice.

RSA Incentives

Rural Incentives include:
•Recruitment bonus: $10,000 (pro-rated on FTE)
•Relocation$9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
•Fee Premium: 4.73%
•Annual retention fee: $ 7,322.40
