Williams Lake’s population is about 11,000, with 25,000 in the surrounding area. We are an intersection of 3 major highways: Highway 97 going north to Prince George, Highway 97 going to south to Kamloops and Highway 20 going west to Bella Coola. Practice Details:
The Atwood Clinic is a private clinic in downtown Williams Lake just a 5 minute drive from the hospital. Clinic hours are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Fridays. The successful candidate will devote time each week, minimum 3 to 4 days, to the clinic for client care, will be responsible for checking results and may also divide their time between the clinic and other specific areas of interest (agreeable with the clinic). Candidates know that they are required to work 1680 annually of dedicated patient care.
Physicians at the Atwood clinic are responsible for own hospital, long term care and office patients. Office has full EMR (Intra Health) capabilities with good software support. Billing is done in–house. Other clinics have the same software with group support.

Recruitment bonus: $15,000
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
Fee Premium: 12.32%
Annual Retention: $18,696.48
Rural CME: max of $ 4,840/year after 4 years in practice

The Atwood Clinic:
The Atwood Clinic is a private clinic in downtown Williams Lake just a 5 minute drive from the hospital. Clinic hours are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Working hours are flexible within these times. Billing is done in–house. No evening or weekend hours required at the clinic. Cariboo Memorial Hospital is an Acute Care, 31-bed Hospital offering Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Operating Rooms, Medical-Surgical and Obstetrical Units, Ambulatory Care Department, and stress testing. Other hospital based services include Lab, Diagnostic Imaging (including echo and CT scanning), Out-Patient Hemodialysis and a five-bed psychiatric crisis stabilization unit. There is 24-hour General Surgery and Obstetrical coverage, Radiology and Pediatrics. There are also visiting Rheumatology and Ophthalmology specialists at this time. Our community has two physiotherapy clinics.
