As the regional Trauma and ICU Referral Centre, we handle complex cases that will test and expand your skills and expertise. This job posting is for a position covered by the Provincial Health Officer’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination order, and selected applicant(s) must comply with the requirements of the order.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Medicine
• You'll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• You'll have, or be eligible for, your Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
• You’ll have, or be eligible for, your CCFP (EM). You will also be considered if you have, or are eligible for, your CCFP and have emergency experience.
• If you’re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in emergency medicine, you may be eligible to practice under the USA certified class.
• To practice medicine here, you’ll have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.

Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Our flexible scheduling system provides accommodation for your preferences whenever possible, with 8-14 shifts per month. We offer 4 shifts daily ranging between 6.5-9 hours, to ensure comprehensive coverage across day, evening, and night shifts.
