Interior Health is recruiting for an exciting senior medical leadership opportunity as the Senior Medical Director (SMD), Kootenay Boundary.

After five years of service in this important leadership role, Dr. Nattana Dixon-Warren is stepping down from this position in June 2024. Dr. Dixon-Warren recently commented about her role: “This has been a very rewarding position. It has given me the opportunity to work with strong medical leaders across the KB to collaboratively design and support health care services in our communities.”

The Senior Medical Director (SMD) provides medical expertise and input into decision-making on strategic and operational matters in a dyad partnership with the Executive Director, Kootenay Boundary. In this important role, the SMD provides leadership, direction, and support to the Chiefs of Staff, Department Heads, and Medical Directors within the Kootenay Boundary region to inform and meet the strategic goals of Interior Health.
