Practice Details:
We have an excellent opportunity for a General Surgeon to join our team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital. There are currently 2 full time General Surgeons at the site. There is a balance between office, endoscopy and operating room procedures, with 5 OR and 5 endoscopy days available at CMH per month, in addition to bi-monthly ACU days for minor procedures. There is a requirement to perform endoscopic procedures, including on call management of GI bleeds. The current General Surgeons have a combined office practice and a new addition would be welcomed into joining the group. There is also an optional teaching component with 3rd year medical students as well as residents through UBC. The closest tertiary hospital is RIH and is 3 hours away.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital:
Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) is under renovation with planned completion in 2029! Currently, CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake, with 28 inpatient beds. At CMH, we offer a broad spectrum of services, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, anesthesia, and hospitalist services. Laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, and outpatient hemodialysis units are available on-site.
