The Cranbrook UPCC has fantastic opportunities for family practice physicians to do short-term locums in beautiful Cranbrook, BC!

As a General Practice Physician locum, you will work with members of the inter-professional care team at the Cranbrook Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). This state of the art clinic provides urgent and episodic care to the community of Cranbrook. The UPCC team consists of Family practitioners (FPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), Occupational Therapist, Mental Wellness Clinician, medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager.

You can choose flexible locum dates through July, August and September and we welcome both full time and part time availability. This flexibility allows you to indulge in Cranbrook’s abundant outdoor recreational activities in your time outside of work.


Cranbrook is surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, offering endless hiking, biking and camping opportunities. The many rivers and lakes surrounding Cranbrook are ideal for a day spent on the water, whether that be rafting, paddleboarding, kayaking or canoeing. You have the flexibility to propose your own schedule and add a little vacation into your locum!

  • Eligible for licensure with CPSBC

Cranbrook Urgent and Primary Care Centre:

The Cranbrook UPCC is part of the East Kootenay (EK) Primary Care Network (PCN) a collaborative partnership between the EK Division of Family Practice, Interior Health, and the Ktunaxa Nation. The Cranbrook UPCC will operate within ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa, the homeland of the Ktunaxa people.

The target population for the Cranbrook UPCC will be a general population with services that span the care continuum. The service model comprises of:
• Longitudinal full service primary care for patients attached to the UPCC. These services will be provided during regular business hours 08.30-17.00, 5 days a week.
• Urgent and Episodic Primary Care for the general population. Urgent and episodic care will be provided from 08.30-20.00 on weekdays and 09.30-20.00 on weekends and public holidays.
