Practice Details:
Kelowna is a great place to practice Family Medicine, raise a family, and enjoy an active outdoor Okanagan lifestyle. This growing urban centre has an airport 20 minutes from downtown, UBC-O learning sites around the city, multiple colleges, and year-round recreational choices that are abundant, and easily accessible.
Our area offers a range of additional practice areas to supplement a clinic practice including Long Term Care facilities, Hospitalist and Antenatal clinic shifts, etc. Teaching and mentoring of Family Practice Residents is available through our local Residency Program. We have a very supportive Division of Family Practice team that assists clinics.
This new clinic opportunity is located in the heart of the Rutland area, on HWY 33, next to the Pharmasave. We are looking for 2 full-time physicians to join this newly renovated family practice clinic. This clinic boasts a professionally designed space with 2 large offices, 4 exam rooms and a large kitchen area. EMR is Med-Access, 80/20 split.
Family Physicians in this community are strongly encouraged to support IH services, including rural ER, LTC, OAT, Maternity, etc., as part of their community practice. For more information on what IH services are provided in this community, please contact your IH or Division recruiter.
Return of Service Family Physicians - a portion of your ROS FTE will support PCN and/or IH facilities and/or services. Please contact your Division and/or IH recruiter for more information on what PCN and/or Heath Authority services are provided in this community and what your expected PCN and/or Health Authority deliverables will be.
