Golden

Stunning scenery, crisp mountain air, and world revered outdoor recreation are at your doorstep. The cozy mountain town of Golden lies at the junction of the lazy Columbia River and roaring Kicking Horse River providing a wealth of outdoor adventures for every skill level and every interest. With spectacular mountain biking, ice-climbing, river rafting, and six national and provincial parks in the region, Golden is a utopia for the outdoor enthusiast. Like the juxtaposition of the two rivers, Golden’s high energy recreation is complemented by its charming downtown and arts community. Large shade trees decorate streets and film festivals and touring musicians are hosted annually by the Golden District Arts Council.
