Practice Details:
The South Okanagan General Hospital (SOGH) is a Level 1 Community Hospital located in the Okanagan health service area.
SOGH serves approximately 12,000 residents from Oliver, Osoyoos, and Okanagan Falls, and another 10,000 residents in surrounding rural areas.
SOGH offers services including:
- 24/7 Emergency Department
- 18 acute care inpatient beds
- Outpatient ambulatory care
- Allied Health Services
- Pharmacy, X-Ray, and laboratory services
- Most urgent referr=rals are made to Penticton Regional Hospital
Emergency Department shift coverage:
- Winter: 0700–1500, 1300–2000, 1900–0700
- Summer: Daytime shifts extended by one hour during busy months
The Emergency team in
Oliver currently has two positions available.
We have a great group of FP and FP-ER physicians from various backgrounds - including CCFP(EM) and FP-EM, who support the emergency at SOGH. CCFP-EM/FP-EM is not required but is always welcome.

Recruitment bonus: $10,000
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location

Annual Retention: $7,322.40
Rural CME: max of $4400.00 /year after 4 years in practice
