About Us: Kingsfoil Medical Clinic (KMC) is a well-established, two doctor, respected family practice in Kelowna, BC, providing comprehensive, office-based, longitudinal family care. Dr Davidson also provides specialized care for opioid-dependent individuals. We provide comprehensive care to our patients through our office as well as community services based services such as our local nursing homes and hospice house. Patients of ours admitted to our local hospital are taken care of by our hospitalist colleagues.

Community Involvement:
● We are involved in teaching medical students and residents through UBC’s medical training programme.
● Engaged with PCN (Primary Care Networks) and a variety of Interior Health facilities and clinics such as OUH and UPCC.
● There are significant opportunities to work in other areas of medical care in Kelowna should a new MD want to work harder. These include things like: OR assists, working at OUH (Outreach Urban Health) or UPCC (Urgent Care Clinic).

Logistics:
● A new MD partner could work under a locum arrangement for the first few months (70/30 split) but once established would then transition to full partnership.

Qualifications:

• Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
• Doctorate in Medicine
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
• Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory

Call Schedule:

Hours of work: M-Th 3 x ⅔ days and 1 full day per week
On call requirements: 2 weeks per year for telephonic consults for a large group of MD’s. Low key call commitments.
