The Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic (COMC) is a unique and rewarding care environment dedicated to serving unattached pregnant patients across the Central Okanagan. COMC plays a vital role in providing care to individuals who often face significant barriers and would otherwise struggle to access antenatal support.
This is an opportunity to practice meaningful, equity-focused medicine as part of a highly skilled and compassionate team. Additional Incentives
On call requirements: 1-2 24hr shift per month minimum. Obstetrics Consult Compensation: $198 per hour for clinic or call (with increases as per the PMA); direct and indirect hours payable for clinic; after hours call stipend $25-35 per hour additional; MOCAP stipend for call.
Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic:
The Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic (COMC) provides a collaborative primary care approach that includes a team-based care approach which includes family physicians, midwives, nursing professionals, social workers, and other allied health experts.
With a focus on comprehensive prenatal care, covering outpatient clinic and in-hospital coverage for acute obstetrical care and deliveries. Clinic services are available to expectant families whether attached to a regular primary care provider or unattached.
The clinic accepts all perinatal referrals at any stage of pregnancy. Expectant families will be attached to the clinic throughout their pregnancies until eight weeks post-delivery.
The COMC offers work-life balance with competitive wages, within a group services contract providing flexible hours and days and the contract group self schedules. Work in a larger-than-life landscape and four season’s playground.
