Hillside Centre is a 47-bed tertiary mental health facility in Kamloops, BC, serving adults and older adults with complex psychiatric needs across Interior Health. This locum opportunity offers a diverse, regional scope of practice within an inter-professional team. The role involves comprehensive geriatric psychiatric care, including managing severe neurocognitive disorders, using trauma-informed and palliative approaches, and supporting transitions in care. We a regional resource for patients living within the Interior Health and Northern Health regions and the successful candidate will be required to participate in the tertiary utilization committee meetings every week. There are also opportunities for leadership, teaching, research, and integration with acute, community, or long-term care settings.

Hours of work:
Locum should be available Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, conduct clinical rounds with the interdisciplinary team once a week, and should review the patients daily if possible.
