Join the collaborative team at Kootenay Lake Hospital (KLH) Emergency Department in beautiful Nelson, BC
-Supportive, collegial group of Emergency Physicians, including those balancing EM with other clinical roles.
-Flexible Scheduling and FTE options (5–12 shifts per month) to support work-life balance and individual practice preferences.
-Work the way you want; Additional community roles available to complement your ED work
-Busy rural Emergency Department seeing 40–60 patients per day.
-Open to CCFP-EM or CCFP physicians with a strong interest in Emergency Medicine.

Estimated Gross Income
For full time services, the annual rates are $366,046 for EMEMGP and $403,668 for EMEMSP. Please note this is based on a 1.0 position in the emergency department. Compensation may vary.
RSA Incentives
Rural Incentives include:
Recruitment bonus: $15,000 based on 1.0 FTE.
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
Fee Premium: 11.34%
Annual Retention: $17,573.76
Rural CME: max of $4840.00 /year after 4 years in practice
Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
