Practice Details:
Shared care maternity clinic with family physicians and midwives. Work includes prenatal clinic (5 days/week) as well as on-call maternity services at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (24/7 coverage). Our group values equity and flexibility- all income is pooled and then divided amongst the group. Payment is by stipend per call and clinic shift worked, as well as additional hourly payments for administrative and leadership work. Our group is well-supported by OB/GYN and paediatrics. This would be an ideal position for a family doctor with an interest in obstetric care, who would also like to pursue other work in the community (family practice, LTC, hospitalist, etc.)

Encompass Pregnancy Care is a collaborative, team-based perinatal clinic serving the East Kootenay region. Encompass brings together family physicians, midwives, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive, inclusive, culturally safe care from conception through postpartum and newborn support up to eight weeks after birth.
