Family Physician Opportunity – CGB Medical, Kelowna, BC

The panel includes approximately 1,000 patients and is focused primarily on office-based and virtual care, providing a manageable and rewarding scope of comprehensive family practice.

The practice is exceptionally well organized, with detailed patient profiles, demographics, and recall tasks thoughtfully maintained in the EMR, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for the incoming physician. The patient population is stable and well cared for, allowing the new physician to step into a mature, structured practice environment.

The local community hospital offers strong specialist support, with most specialties and subspecialties available, along with state-of-the-art diagnostic services and treatment facilities. This collaborative medical environment allows family physicians to practice with confidence and excellent access to consultation when needed.

There are also numerous opportunities to broaden clinical interests and supplement income. These include surgical assisting, expanding long-term care services to non-panel patients, providing care at the Urgent and Primary Care Centre, and participating in palliative care services.

Qualifications:

• Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
• Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
• Certificant of College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)

Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
On call requirements: Shared practice call 1/5 for weeknights after 5, weekends and statutory
