Wells Gray Medical Clinic is seeking three physicians to join its collegial, full-scope practice.

Wells Gray Medical Clinic:

• Full or part time
• Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday 10am to 5pm
• Hospital: ED / IPC / LTC (AAP plus incentives)
• On call 1:4 weekends 1: 5 weekdays
• 12 Hour ED shift / 12 hour overnight call

Qualifications:
  • Eligible for The College of Family Physicians of Canada Cert. (CCFP)
  • Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Full Time
On call requirements: 1:4 weekends & 1:5 weekdays

Compensation:
Estimated Gross Income

$400,000 - $450,000, includes rural fee premium


RSA Incentives

Rural Incentives include:
Recruitment bonus: $20,000
Relocation: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
Fee Premium: 20.02%
Annual Retention: $31,025.28
Rural CME: max of $ 5,720/year after 4 years in practice

Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.


Dr Helmcken Memorial Hospital:

Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital is a 24-hour Level 1 community hospital newly completed in 2002, with a 24-hour Emergency Room. This facility has six private Acute Care beds, six stretcher beds in the Emergency Room, and an attached twenty-one bed Residential Care Unit. The hospital also provides inpatient and outpatient services for Laboratory, Electrocardiogram (ECG) Service, Radiology and Physiotherapy. Additional services include Home Care, Home Support, Public Health, Environmental Health & Protection Services, Diabetes and Dietitian Teaching, as well as Mental Health services through Yellowhead Community Services. ​
