Two Medical leadership opportunities are now available for Medical Director, Digital Health & Informatics. One position is focused on Acute Care and one position is focused on Community & Primary Care. Enjoy career satisfaction in this rewarding administrative role as you provide leadership for the meaningful use of digital health applications and technology by medical staff to promote improved patient care, provider satisfaction and clinical efficiency.
As the Medical Director, Digital Health & Informatics (MD DHI) you will work in a dyad partnership with a Corporate Director, Clinical Informatics, to translate medical staff requirements into adoption of digital tools into practice. The dyad partnership provides leadership to advance the development and adoption of a fully interoperable electronic health record and digital workflow within the respective health sector area. Reporting to the VP and Chief Information Officer for all digital health leadership and governance, and working in alignment with medical staff leadership and digital health champions, you will provide leadership for Interior Health’s Digital Health goals and objectives and facilitate engagement and support with medical staff stakeholders.
Within the Chief Information Officer portfolio, the MD DHI participates in the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical IMIT plans, mentors and
supports medical staff digital health champions across Interior Health, leads respective governance committees, and guides the development of change management and
education approaches for medical staff.
These positions are based on a 2.5/week (0.5 FTE) and may be based in any location within Interior Health.

- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
- Doctorate in Medicine
- Certificant of College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
- Medical leadership training and/or experience
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
