The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273-bed facility that serves as the referral centre for approximately 250,000 people, and is located in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap Health Service Area. As one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals, RIH is a no refusal centre with an Emergency Department that receives over 250 major trauma and 72,000 visits per year.
Kamloops offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinics, and Diagnostic Services Support services including a full complement of diagnostic equipment, a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and Sleep Lab, 1.5T MRI, two CT scans, and Echocardiography. RIH also features, Stroke Thrombolysis, and provincial Tertiary Neuropsychiatry Programs. RIH is the regional base for the six-person, 24-hour High Acuity Response Team (HART) that is utilized in remote emergency transport situations. Surgical services include General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and 24/7 Anesthesia coverage.

Kamloops offers high-level, specialty medical care including Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Respirology, and Rheumatology. Diagnostics offered include a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and Sleep Lab, MRI, two CT scans, and Echocardiography. RIH is the regional base for the High Acuity Response Team (HART) that transports critically ill patients throughout the region. Surgical services include General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology.

- Doctorate in Medicine
- Eligible for licensure with CPSBC; Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory

- Locum: The remuneration is fee for service with a minimum income guarantee of $15,000 for a 7 day week plus travel and accommodation.

- Estimated Gross Income for a full-time position: $275,000 - $ 500,000, plus MOCAP level 1

- Relocation Assistance: Applicable for 1.0 FTE positions, $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location (with eligible receipts).
