Practice Details:

Royal Inland Hospital has a full-time opening for a Vascular Surgeon. Join the current Vascular Surgeons in a varied practice that includes open and endovascular surgery, renal vascular access, and pacemaker implantation. Community referrals, emergency and in hospital consults, along with the Vascular Lab ensures a busy and broad-based practice. On call remuneration is Level I through the provincial MOCAP program. There are also teaching opportunities as RIH is a UBC site for Medical Students and Family Practice Residents.

Qualifications:
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License (Full) Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) with Vascular Surgery Fellowship Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is mandatory. Minimum 6 months of ultrasound training for Vascular Lab Thoracic/Abdominal Stent Training Pacemaker implantation Vascular access for renal patients

Diagnostics offered include a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and Sleep Lab, MRI, two CT scans, and Echocardiography. RIH is the regional base for the High Acuity Response Team (HART) that transports critically ill patients throughout the region. Surgical services include General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
