This job posting is for a position covered by the Provincial Health Officer’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination order, and selected applicant(s) must comply with the requirements of the order.

Qualifications:
  • Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Licensure, or eligible for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); and mandatory coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association./p hrAt VJH, you'll be expected to showcase robust skills in a variety of radiological techniques, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Your expertise in mammography, which encompasses obstetrical and musculoskeletal ultrasound, will be highly valued. You'll carry out image-guided biopsy and drainage procedures, utilizing CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy guided techniques with proficiency, and sometimes echocardiography. Having fellowship training in areas like musculoskeletal (MSK), intervention, breast imaging, or echocardiography would greatly benefit your career development. /p

On call requirements: After-hours on-call coverage for CT and ultrasound is currently facilitated through teleradiology services. From 5pm to 8am on weekdays, as well as weekends and holidays, remote radiologists provide coverage for CT and ultrasound.

Anticipate a rewarding income comprised of a fee-for-service payment structure and MOCAP level 2.


Additional Incentives

For a full-time position, we offer $9,000 in assistance if moving within BC, $12,000 within Canada, and $15,000 from outside Canada. Please note incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
