Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Anaesthesia experience
  • Licensure, or eligible for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); and mandatory coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Discover a meaningful full-time opportunity where your preferences and work-life balance are valued and accommodated, making it a truly fulfilling experience. With 10 weeks of leave, you'll have ample time to recharge and unwind.
On call requirements: Embrace a favourable on-call schedule with a rotation of 1:5, ensuring a well-balanced lifestyle.

Compensation:
Estimated Gross Income

Anticipate an estimated gross annual income of approximately $450,000, with up to 10% contract incentive and MOCAP Level 1.


RSA Incentives

Recruitment incentive: $20,000
Relocation: determined by your current location, the relocation allowance ranges from $9,000 to $15,000
Fee Premium: up to 14%
Annual retention fee: up to $16,116
RCME funding: up to 2 years $1,800, in 3rd & 4th year $4,800, after 4 years $7,800

East Kootenay Regional Hospital:

We have 24 hour emergency and trauma services with 16 dedicated beds, and a 6 bed ICU. This four floor facility includes a level 3 laboratory, complete with a recently purchased PCR machine and MALDI/TOF. In the new MRI suite, there are new MRI and SPECT CT machines, with a new CT scanner earmarked for purchase. Upcoming construction projects and facility upgrades include a new NICU, renovation of the emergency department triage, and new oncology and renal departments.
